Ogre Kingdoms Rhinox
My two younger cousins have started getting interested in Warhammer, at about the same age I did. I lost interest a few years ago- I accumulated too many models and didn’t finish the ones I already had.
But Jo let me paint a few of his models when he brought them to show family at a BBQ, and I suddenly got hooked again! Luckily most of my paints were still usable, only 3 of 30odd paints were dry- and they were the ones in the old screw top lids. The new flip-top lids were all fine.
So, here’s my first ‘revival’ model- a Ogre Kingdoms Rhinox (click to zoom in):
Expect more soon! I’m undercoating a Giant at the moment.

Girl, You Have No Faith In Medicine!
Seriously, she doesn’t. Great song though. Which is why I used it for the first of my drum videos with new recording eqipment! It’s my first recording set-up, so it’s really exciting recording things into FLStudio. Expect acoustic + live elements to bleed into my electronic stuff :D

New thing
Sorry I haven’t been posting recently, but I have a big summer holiday ahead of me, and I’ve just finished my GCSE exams! So I’ve got nothing to do but make music, and have fun.
I think I’ll post more if I make it less of a chore and more a quick note.

GAH UPDATE
Sorry about not posting recently, if anyone still reads this. If you do, please comment- it’s nice to know if at least one person reads my blawg.
My previous post (quite a while ago now) about that song called Duality- I’ve handed vocals over to Hania, who unfortunately seems to be dragging her feet a little. I’ve bugger a while about it, but it’s been nearly two months now. In the new year, I shall rant on her again D:
I got Rock Band! XD Tis pretty awesome. So I don’t think I’ll be making any more music any time soon :P
So yeah, check this space after the new year begins. Wish me luck…

Another WIP
The Aphex Twin inspired song has kind of dried up for me- I’m not sure where to take it from there. I’ve done absolutely nothing to it since I posted it on here. Rather annoying, but there’s nothing I can do about that. I’m just going to leave it alone, and pick it up again in a few weeks maybe. Fresh start :)
But, in the meantime, I’ve picked up another project! And this one is going a lot better, and a lot faster too.

Finally working on some new music – Aphex Twin style
I’ve been listening to a lot of Aphex Twin recently, and suddenly got inspiration for this guitar thing, which would go great with some glitchy drums and samples. I’m gonna cut up the guitar and make that glitchy too, but later on in the tune. Might try out some voice synthesizers, see if I can somehow include those in the mix.
I’m not happy with the volume of the hi-hats at the beginning, or the drum fill to introduce the drums. But ah well, it’s a WIP with a whole lot of progress to go.

Going to the beach – with friends!
Ok, maybe I am a bit addicted to going to this West Wittering place. But it’s such a great beach, soft sand and quite good waves (by British standards, anyway).
So I went with 3 friends- Alex, Paul and Shan. And mum- cause she’s the only one who can drive, and the only one who would want to pay for food and parking :P

Going to the Beach – East Head Spit
So I went to the beach today, West Wittering beach, to be precise.
In geography we’re going to do a project next term, on a hypothesis about West Wittering beach in general. We have to come up with our own hypothesis, something like “Is West Wittering a good tourist resort”, or “Is WW a stable and sustainable beach”. Something like that. Then we have to do a big project proving or disproving that hypothesis. It’s a bit heavy going really. We were looking at some projects people did last year, and they were like 50 pages long! Some of the pages were just like a big picture or some graphs, but it’s still a rather big project to be compelted by October.
But, today I did the better part of the project. Went to the beach with my Mum, and just took lots of pictures :D I’ll sort out later how I’m going to use them in my project, but it was fun to do them today- I guess it’s proving that I’ve finally broken up from school.

School’s out!
So, finally we have been released from the prison that is Oaklands Catholic School. For 7/8 weeks at least. I’m a bit miffed though, cause I was talking to a friend from America, he says they get like… 3 months or something off for summer :c
But, as it was the last day, Oaklands always tries to make the first half the most boring morning ever conceived since last years last day. (If that makes any sense) First, they have a whole school mass, hence the “Catholic School” part of their name. Rather irrelevant to me now, as I’m now atheist. But, I just sit there and daydream, none of the teachers mind- and I think they can empathise with the kids having to sit there packed like sardines in the hall.
