Alton Towers!

My good friends Alex and Mario came round last week to go to Alton Towers with mum (cause she’s the only one who can drive… yet). It was super fun, and we had a great time going on all the rides. As we went in July, it wasn’t as busy as the peak time in the summmer holidays. But, as we had all finished our GCSE exams before everyone else, we could beat the crowds, and we definitely beat the queues.I think we must have done at least 30 rides over the 3 days, possibly more- which is considerably more than the time Alex went to Thorpe Park in the height of the summer season and got on 4 rides in the whole day!

Mum doesn’t enjoy thrill rides at all, so we felt a bit guilty going to Alton Towers, which is a theme park, after all. But, there is beautiful scenery and Mum certainly enjoyed the peaceful green walks round the grounds, and relaxing by the large lake in the middle of the park. The great environment around the rides lent itself to some rather good photos (or at least the potential for them- I’m no photographer :P). It was an awesome trip, and here are some photos we took (click on them to zoom in):
